First photo education programme

First photo education programme
June 25, 2013 admin

Above: Group photo on the last class in Victoria Park. In the first row from right, Bonnie (Co-founder of Lensational), Victoria (Volunteer photographer), Vicky (Founder of We Care), Peggy (Co-Founder of Lensational) and Michael (Finance Director of Lensational).

Lensational co-organized its first ever photo education program with We Care, a non-governmental organization which aims to bridge gaps between ethnicities in Hong Kong. The program spanned over five weeks, equipped 15 Indonesian and Filipino domestic workers with newfound photography skills for portraits and landscapes alike, to express their emotions and ideas.

Take a look at our final journal published here. Our first batch of graduates shares their feelings and thoughts.

Congratulations to our first batch of graduates! We can’t wait to see them grow into photographers. Apart from We Care, thanks must be given to PathFinders for recruiting three Indonesian women who used to be domestic helpers.
